JEB TO EXHIBIT 3SEAL SPACER SYSTEM, PRESENT EDUCATIONAL SESSION AT BEC CONFERENCE
Pedricktown, N.J., Feb. 2, 2017 – J.E. Berkowitz, LP (JEB), a premier architectural glass fabricator and division of Consolidated Glass Holdings (CGH), will showcase its JEB 3SEAL insulating glass spacer system at booth #4 during the 2017 Glass Association of North America’s (GANA) Building and Envelope Contractors (BEC) Conference at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Feb. 6–8. JEB also will present an educational session, titled “These Colors Don’t Run! How to Meet Tighter PIB Migration and Roller Wave Distortion Requirements,” at 11:30 a.m., on Feb. 7.
Designed for the demand of commercial glazing, the JEB 3SEAL insulating glass spacer system is made from structural thermoset silicone with integral 3A desiccant. The unique spacer system features a triple-seal design consisting of a pre-applied acrylic adhesive for spacer-to-glass bonding, a hot-applied captive polyisobutylene primary (PIB) seal, and a two-part structural silicone secondary seal.
With its no-metal design, JEB 3SEAL has shock-absorbing properties that counteract glazing stresses caused by wind, and enhances sound attenuation. In addition, JEB 3SEAL has minimal thermal conductivity, providing higher glass edge surface temperature, and a multi-layer vapor barrier to enhance condensation resistance.
During the conference, Gary McQueen, JEB director of architectural systems, will present “These Colors Don’t Run! How to Meet Tighter PIB Migration and Roller Wave Distortion Requirements.” The presentation will explore how next generation insulating glass technologies, such as the JEB 3SEAL spacer system, will be used to help design professionals achieve aesthetic goals while meeting ever-increasing performance specifications and energy code requirements.
