JE BERKOWITZ TO EXHIBIT NEW 3SEAL SPACER SYSTEM AT AIA
Pedricktown, N.J., May 6, 2014 – J.E. Berkowitz, LP (JEB), a premier architectural glass fabricator based in Pedricktown, New Jersey, will exhibit its new JEB 3SEAL insulating glass spacer system and glass fabrication capabilities at booth 4715 during the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) National Convention and Design Exposition in Chicago, June 26–28.
The JEB 3SEAL insulating glass spacer system is designed for the toughest commercial glazing demands. The spacer system is made from structural thermoset silicone with integral 3A desiccant and features a triple-seal design consisting of a pre-applied acrylic adhesive for spacer-to-glass bonding, a hot-applied captive polyisobutylene primary seal, and a two-part structural silicone secondary seal.
With its no-metal design, JEB 3SEAL has shock-absorbing properties that counteract glazing stresses caused by wind, snow, driving rain, fluctuating temperatures, and barometric pressure. In addition, JEB 3SEAL has minimal thermal conductivity, providing higher glass edge surface temperature, and a multi-layer vapor barrier to enhance condensation resistance.
With 94 years of experience in providing glazing solutions for high-profile projects across the country, JEB’s capabilities include fabricating dual- and triple-pane insulating glass units; heat-strengthened, tempered, and laminated glass; silk-screened and spandrel glass in standard and custom patterns; and glass doors, point-supported walls, canopies, handrails, and commercial shower doors.
