JE Berkowitz Laminated Glass is produced by sandwiching one or more layers of PVB or structural layer materials between multiple lites (two or more) of glass and applying a combination of heat and pressure to permanently “fuse” the layers together creating Fusion™ Laminated Glass, and SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayer, all using Kuraray™ technology.
Laminated safety glass made with Butacite® polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer, Trosifol® Sound Control.
Laminated glass made with .030 in. (.76mm) PVB (or thicker) will meet the requirements for CPSC 16 CFR 1201 Category I and II, ANSI Z97.1 Class A and B, and CAN/CGBS12.1 M Category I and II.
Butacite® PVB and SentryGlas® interlayers have received the universally recognized Miami Dade County’s Product Control Notice of Acceptance (NOA).
SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayer meets the quality requirements specified in ASTM C 1172. Annealed and heat-treated float glass used in laminates meet ASTM C1036 and ASTM C1048.
Butacite® G is made out of 100% recycled materials and contributes to the LEED Certification of your project.
Laminated safety glass made with Butacite® using Kuraray technology polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer designed to meet small missile requirements. It is a tough, resilient thermoplastic material that can offer protection even after the glass is broken, because glass fragments adhere to the interlayer.
The Trosifol® SC Monolayer is an acoustic PVB film that combines the sound insulating features of multiple glazing applications with traditional PVB film. Laminated safety glass produced with Trosifol® SC Monolayer offers an improvement of 5 dB in the sound insulation value as compared to float glass of the same thickness. Trosifol® SC Monolayer complies with the requirements of the Construction Product List for laminated safety glass and the “Technical Rules for Linearly Mounted Glazing” of the German Institute of Construction Engineering.
Butacite® G is also available including in a vibrant palette of hues ranging from subtle highlights to vibrant tones. Other colors including soft or translucent white help control light transmission and privacy. Butacite® G is made out of 100% recycled materials and contributes to the LEED Certification of you project.
